12月13日下午,由西班牙驻广州总领事馆经济商务处和佛山中陶城集团主办,西班牙对外贸易发展和投资局、中国陶瓷城、佛山陶博会、禅城区进出口企业商会协办,以及中国建筑学会室内设计分会、佛山市环境设计协会、CK|HOME支持举办的西班牙—中国陶企商务交流会在中国陶瓷城圆满举行!


On the afternoon of December 13th, Webinar: Opportunities for Spanish Ceramic Companies in China  was successfully held at China Ceramics City! The event was hosted by the Economic & Commercial Office of Spain in Guangzhou and Foshan China Ceramics City Group, co-organized by Department of Industrial Technology of ICEX, China Ceramics City, Foshan Cerambath, and Foshan Chancheng Chamber of Commerce for Im-export, supported by Interior Design of the Architectural Society of China, Foshan Environment Design Association, and CK|HOME.



本次活动吸引了10多家西班牙一线品牌及国内超30家进口相关陶企参与。会上,数位行业大咖分享了西班牙瓷砖在中国的发展现状,并围绕西班牙瓷砖进入中国应如何抓住机遇、优化升级进行了深入探讨。


The webinar attracted more than 10 Spanish first-line brands and over 30 China’s import-related ceramic enterprises to participate. At the meeting, several industrial experts shared the development status of Spanish tiles in China, and conducted in-depth discussions on how to seize opportunities, optimize and upgrade for Spanish tiles entering China.

活动一开始,西班牙驻广州总领事馆经济商务领事马艾涛(Mr. Aitor Mate)发表了欢迎致辞。他表示,佛山作为中国陶瓷产业发展最完善的产业聚集地,企业数量多、品牌影响力大、营销中心集中,发展优势突出。他希望通过此次与中国陶瓷城的合作,西班牙陶企能抓住机遇、顺势而为、推动发展。


At the beginning of the event, Mr. Aitor Mate, the Chief Economic & Commercial Counsellor of Spain in Guangzhou delivered a welcome speech. He said that Foshan, as the best-developed industrial gathering place of China ceramic industry, has a large number of enterprises, great brand influence, concentrated marketing centers, and outstanding development advantages. He hoped that through this webinar with China Ceramics City, Spanish ceramic enterprises can seize the opportunity, take advantage of the trend and promote development.

西班牙驻广州总领事馆经济商务处费冉星(Mr. Pedro Ferrandez)也表示西班牙对外贸易发展和投资局(ICEX)作为隶属于西班牙工业、贸易和旅游部贸易国务秘书处的官方机构,将促进西班牙瓷砖提高品牌竞争力和推动瓷砖企业国际化,并为西班牙陶企进军中国市场提供全力支持。


Mr. Pedro Ferrandez from Economic & Commercial Office of Spain in Guangzhou said that Department of Industrial Technology of ICEX, as an official agency under the Trade State Secretariat of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, will help Spanish brands to improve brand competitiveness and the internationalization, and provides full support for Spanish ceramic companies to enter Chinese market.

Subsequently, Ms. Alejandra de Juan from Economic & Commercial Office of Spain in Guangzhou released the "Overview of Chinese Ceramics Market: an ICEX Market Report", and introduced in detail the current situation of China's imported ceramic tiles, the main import countries & prices, the current situation of Spanish ceramic tile brands in China, and ICEX's services for Spanish brands (including exhibition strategies, brand communication strategies and seeking of partners, etc.).

As one of the organizers, Ms. Mandy Liu, the International Marketing Manager of Foshan China Ceramics City Group, pointed out that Foshan, as China's largest production base and distribution center for ceramics and sanitary ware, is an excellent choice for Spanish ceramic enterprises to enter China. 



中国陶瓷城2021年隆重上新了进口瓷砖馆,已成为中国最大的进口瓷砖品牌总部,2023年4月18-21日的春季佛山陶博会也是西班牙瓷砖品牌撬动中国市场的敲门砖,同时发布了中国陶瓷城2023年针对工程商、设计师、经销商和高端零售的系列渠道营销活动计划。


In 2021, China Ceramics City grandly opened the Lux Gallery on 5th floor, which had become one of the largest headquarters of China's imported tile brands. The 38th Cerambath on April 18-21, 2023 is also a good opportunity for Spanish ceramic tile brands to enter China market. At the same time, Ms. Mandy released a series of channel marketing activities of China Ceramics City on engineers, designers, distributors and high-end retailers in 2023.

紧接着,中国建材学会室内设计分会副理事长、佛山市环境设计协会会长谢智明先生,以设计师的独特视觉,讲解了进口瓷砖品牌近十年的发展现状、应用范围、风格类型。


Mr. Rocco Tes, the Vice President of Interior Design of the Architectural Society of China and President of Foshan Environment Design Association, shared the development status, application scope, and style types of imported ceramic tile brands in the past ten years with the unique vision of designer.


同时他指出未来设计品质升级、品牌联动、设计产品组合将会成为中国进口瓷砖发展的趋势。因此,如何以空间设计与联动品牌,挖掘当下品牌空间的潜在需求,探索高端品牌变革的可能性,是进口瓷砖品牌需要思考的问题。


At the same time, he pointed out that in the future, design quality upgrades, brand linkage, and design product mix will become the development trends of China's imported tiles. Therefore, how to use space design and brand linkage to tap the potential demand of the current brand and explore the possibility of high-end brand transformation are two questions that imported tile brands need to consider.

佛山市谷泰家居科技有限公司总经理、Ck|HOME进口岩板/瓷砖平台市场营销专家程东林先生从数据出发,指出目前进口瓷砖所占市场比例很少,但高端消费群体在日渐增长,未来中国瓷砖消费市场潜力巨大。


Mr. Cheng Donglin , the General Manager of Foshan Gutai Household Technology Co., Ltd. and Import Slab & Tile Platform Marketing Expert of CK|HOME, started his sharing from the data and pointed out that the current proportion of imported tiles in the market was very small, but the high-end consumer groups are growing day by day. 


西班牙陶企不仅要抓住这一机遇,抢占高端市场,更需要通过强化产品差异化,打造产品大IP,加深消费者的认知与认可,以产品导入文化,引起客户关于情感、身份以及情绪价值上的共鸣,强化产品赋能。


In the future, Chinese tiles consumer market has huge potential. Spanish ceramic companies not only need to seize this opportunity to grab the high-end market, but also need to strengthen product differentiation, create a strong product IP, deepen consumer cognition and recognition, introduce culture with products, and thus resonate customer with emotion, identities and affect valuation.
